In The Beginning Dan Pamperin is a Titletown, U.S.A. home grown original. Prospering as an auto mechanic, in 1985, Dan purchased a closed Shell three bay ranch service station with pumps on Lombardi Avenue. After 2 years of building relationships with fellow Shell dealers, Dan pursued the possibility of growing in the Green Bay area market.
Company Evolution Pamperin has the vision to look at a corner or a piece of property and know if a convenience store would be successful on it. With insight and hard work, station after station was branded with the Shell name year after year.
With the consolidation of 9 new, high volume convenience stores that offered the motoring public the finest image, consistent products, car washes, co-branding, state of the art equipment, and 30 years of working knowledge in the operation and supply of retail outlets; Pamperin earned numerous awards and recognition from the Shell franchise. Awards acknowledging outstanding performance and image, as well as naming him “Jobber of the Year” were accepted as the company grew.
With the growing success of his convenience stores, Pamperin set out to create an oil company that could maintain profitable growth through the supply of Shell gasoline, establish an advertising account to promote the Shell Brand in the Green Bay area, and develop a logo known throughout the marketplace. The result of this is Titletown Oil Corp. Established in August 1998, today Titletown Oil Corp. owns or supplies 41 Shell and BP locations representing 59.0 million gallons annually.
Having the largest market share in the state, the BP Brand was added to Titletown Oil Corp. in June 2001. The BP Brand filled in niches where conflicts with current Shell locations arose. Additionally, with BP capturing 20% of the market share and Shell holding 11%, Pamperin saw instant success with reaching 31% of the total market in the area.
Still persevering, Pamperin continued to strive to find ways to service his customers better. Pamperin knew he could save customers money by capturing total control over when his convenience stores received their petroleum inventory. With the ability to keep a close eye on the market, a common carrier was no longer needed and in July 2001 Titletown Oil Corp. Transport was created. Pamperin could now purchase petroleum products at a cheaper price as well as have better control over the petroleum market. With knowledge of Pamperins’ knack for predicting the petroleum market as well as efficiency of delivering product, Titletown Oil Corp. Transport took off. Today, five Titletown Oil Corp. tankers can be seen delivering product on a daily basis.
In addition to Titletown Oil Corp. Transport, in 2002 Pamperin created an exclusive coffee brand. Bean Boulevard coffee beans, blends, and espresso drinks was created along with the Bean Boulevard cafés and implemented into Titletown Oil Corp. convenience stores. Working with Victor Allen and Chambers and Owens, the Bean Boulevard Coffee Brand is served in 135 locations distributed in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio by Chambers and Owens. In addition, Victor Allen distributes the Bean Boulevard Brand in Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico through additional wholesalers. With the Bean Boulevard Coffee Brand established, Bean Boulevard Cafés were created. Creating a classy, relaxing, clean environment filled with light woods and contemporary metals, Bean Boulevard cafés are equipped with wireless internet connection, Plasma televisions, and two-way fire places to set the big city coffee house mood.
In April 2003, Pamperin purchased Grand Central Station on the corner of Mason Street and Packerland Avenue. Restoring and updating the convenience store and branding it Shell, Pamperin has the insight to franchise the Grand Central Station (GCS) name. The Grand Central Station name was franchised to distinguish the Titletown Oil Corp. name. Currently there are two Grand Central Station locations in the area. In progress is the implementation of two current Titletown Oil Corp. convenience stores. De Pere Shell and Bay Beach Shell are being converted to Grand Central Station stores as well as a new from ground up Grand Central Station in Menasha, WI encompassing the famous Grand Central Station tower and all. The Grand Central Station name is currently franchised in 48 states. Like the original Grand Central Station, smaller convenience stores can implement the Grand Central Station name and become a Grand Central Station depot.
An Exciting Future With the Titletown Oil Corp. name foundation set, Pamperin intends on pursuing possible re-brands, new builds, and acquisitions in surrounding Green Bay and Fox Valley area. With the drive to continue growing at a manageable pace, Pamperin hopes to get his children more involved and let them take Titletown Oil Corp. to the next level, whatever that may be.
